Illusion Limitless, Njuta nab 'Bunny Game'

Germany's Illusion Limitless and Scandinavia's Njuta have both acquired distribution privileges to Adam Rehmeiers horror pic "The Bunny Game." Pic, that is being looked at AFM by U.K. genre sales outfit Jinga Films, informs the storyline of the drug addicted hooker who's held captive within the desert with a deranged truck driver. It stars Rodleen Getsic and Shaun Renfro. Recently, the British Board of Film Classification (similar to MPAA) declined to classify "The Bunny Game," stopping its U.K. distrib Trinity Entertainment from delivering the pic within the territory. Mark Sandell, co-director of Trinity, who acquired the film in Cannes captured stated that although the film was "challenging and confrontational" Rehmeier had "a very original filmic eye." "We did think the BBFC might request for cuts but an outright prohibit provides the film a twisted prestige that, to be honest, it does not warrant," he stated. Jinga Films formerly looked uber-questionable "A Serbian Film" towards the market. Outfit hopes to shut a U.S. deal for "The Bunny Game" in Santa Monica now.
